Turn back the hands of time.
Facelift Surgery
A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure performed to give the face and neck a tighter, smoother, and more youthful appearance. The procedure involves the tightening of muscles and connective tissue in the face and neck, coupled with the removal of excess skin and subcutaneous fat deposits. A facelift helps reverse the effects of aging, which causes a loss of bone and skin elasticity. The procedure lifts and tightens the skin around bone and muscle to restore facial contour, smoothing folds and wrinkles in the area of the mid-face, lower face, jawline, and neck.

Facelift Surgery Treatment Plan
Your facelift will be performed under general anesthesia administered by a board certified anesthesiologist. The surgery will take place in a fully-equipped, outpatient hospital facility by a board certified plastic surgeon. Your surgeon will customize his incisions based on the complexity of the procedure, but typically they run from the temple, around the ear, and back into the hair behind the ear. The procedure involves tightening the overlying skin as well as the underlying muscle to achieve a more sculpted result, and after excess skin is removed, the incisions are closed. This surgical procedure usually takes from 2-3 hours, after which the incisions will be taped and the head may be wrapped to reduce swelling.

If the effects of age, gravity, genetics, and sun exposure now leave you barely able to recognize yourself in the mirror, it may be time to consider a facelift. Over the years, loss of tone takes its toll on cheeks, chin and neck, giving rise to jowls, a wattled neck, double chin, and deep furrows from nose to mouth. Facelift surgery (rhytidectomy) is the most effective way to turn back the hands of time up to 10 years or more. The procedure involves the tightening of muscles and connective tissue in the face and neck, coupled with the removal of excess skin and subcutaneous fat deposits.
