How long will the bruising, swelling and pain last?

After surgery, expect swelling that will resolve within 2-4 weeks. This swelling will make the breasts appear somewhat larger than they will ultimately be when healing and recovery is complete. There will also be some bruising for 1-2 weeks, and any discomfort (typically very tolerable) will subside within 2-4 weeks.
