Who is not a good candidate for FUE Hair Transplantation?
Those who do not have an adequate density of growth or quality of hair in the donor area should not undergo this procedure. Additional conditions that render candidates ineligible include:
- Unrealistic expectations on the part of patients who want their hairline too low or desire a look that doesn’t go with their face or replicate their original hair growth pattern.
- Skin diseases such as discoid lupus, lichen, planopilaris, psoriasis, and alopetia areata (active phase).
- Certain systemic conditions, such as: diabetes, coagulation disorders, poor wound healing, or a tendency to form keloid scars.
