NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
Cutting the Big C Down to Size
It’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time when the media focuses attention on this disease, its detection and treatment. As you may or may not know, with the exception of skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer faced by American women. In fact, it claims the lives of more than 40,000 women annually. But the good news is this: TODAY IN THE UNITED STATES, SOME 2.5 MILLION SURVIVORS OF BREAST CANCER ARE CURRENTLY LIVING HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE, CANCER-FREE LIVES. This is largely due to the incredible impact of donations to cancer research, and Danik is doing its part to help.
On Thursday, October 27th, Danik will be hosting the Wellness & Anti-aging Event to help raise money for breast cancer research. There will be food, drinks, and live demonstrations.
How can you help save lives too? Just join the festivities! It’s free for anyone who wants to participate, and a portion of the proceeds will go to Passionately Pink for the Cure.
If there’s one thing that research has taught us, it’s that early detection is the key. That means self-examination on a monthly basis. And, starting at the age of 40, that also means annual mammography screenings at a certified facility.
So once you finish scheduling your next mammogram, join Danik Medspa for an evening of beauty, health, and charity. Help save lives and end breast cancer forever. October 27th—save the date!
