The sun … everybody loves it, but that doesn’t mean those rays love you. Regrettably, direct exposure to the sun’s UVA and UVB rays will cause the skin to prematurely age and wrinkle. - Select a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more.
- Make sure your choice offers “broad-spectrum protection” against both UVA and UVB rays.
- Look for the words “water resistant”.
- Stay away from sprays and powders, which don’t adhere to the skin as well.
- Avoid dangerous ingredients like Retinyl Palmitate and Oxybenzone.
- Look for mineral sunblock ingredients, such as zinc dioxide and titanium dioxide.
- Avoid rashes and negative reactions by seeking out hypoallergenic products.
- Apply your sunscreen 20 minutes before going outside, and don’t be stingy. Use it liberally and repeat often to maintain the highest possible level of protection.
