Juvederm Vollure XC
Correct deep facial wrinkles and folds for up to 18 months.
Juvederm Vollure™ XC is the first and only hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler FDA-approved for the correction of moderate to severe wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds) that lasts up to 18 months.
In the U.S. pivotal clinical trial, a majority (59%) of subjects saw improvement in moderate to severe nasolabial folds for up to 18 months. Patient satisfaction in the pivotal study was also high: 82% of patients said they were very satisfied at 6 months and 68% at 18 months.
Vollure is formulated with the manufacturer’s (Allergan) proprietary VYCROSS® technology, which blends different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid. Doing so contributes to the gel’s durability and long-lasting effects. This product was created to give adults over the age of 21 a highly reliable option for treating deepening wrinkles and folds running down either side of the face, from nose to mouth and mouth to chin (Marionette Lines).
- Made with Vycross technology to augment effectiveness and reduce degradation so that results last up to 18 months (with optimal treatment).
- Formulated to improve skin texture.
- Non-surgical with no downtime.
- Produces 100% natural-looking volume in wrinkles and folds.
- Contains lidocaine to minimize any injection discomfort.
Juvederm Vollure™ XC Treatment Plan
Nasolabial folds are often referred to as smile lines. These folds form parentheses on either side of the face, and they appear to deepen due to the sagging of cheek tissue that accompanies aging. This sagging is caused by a loss of supporting bone and fat in the upper outer cheek. When that support is gone, the skin becomes increasingly lax and the resulting folds deepen, making the face look old and tired.
Juvederm Vollure can reverse this by filling in the folds – as well as other noticeable wrinkles in the nose-mouth area – for up to 18 months. This long-lasting correction is ideal for those who want to look younger and more refreshed, but don’t want the inconvenience of returning for injections every 9 – 12 months.
No preparation for treatment is required, and the treatment can be completed during a lunchtime break, after which you can return to your normal activities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Vollure is an injectable filler in the Juvederm collection. It is used in Europe and other parts of the world under the name Volift. It gained FDA approval in the United States in 2017 as Vollure. Vollure is a hyaluronic acid filler and is primarily used to treat deep lines and folds around the mouth.
The clinical study demonstrated JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC lasts up to 18 months, with optimal treatment.
The most common side effects included firmness, swelling, tenderness to touch, lumps/bumps, redness, pain, bruising, itching, and discoloration at the injection site. These side effects were usually mild or moderate in nature (causing little to some discomfort and impact on daily activities) and lasted 14 days or less.
Over time, due to a variety of environmental and genetic factors, wrinkles develop on your face, and nasolabial folds may become more visible. JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is designed to temporarily add volume to the facial wrinkles for a smoother appearance to the face. The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain.
You may experience some minor swelling, bruising, or redness, but for the majority of patients, there is no downtime after a Vollure treatment. Once you leave the office, you can continue with your normal day.
When used for folds or lines, Vollure provides a softened and smooth look. The results are natural, but noticeable, and last up to 18 months.
As with all filler treatments, the most common Vollure side effects are swelling and bruising. This will fully resolve within 1 – 2 weeks and often less.
Currently, Vollure is only approved by the FDA for injection into deep wrinkles and folds in the face. However, many doctors also use it in off-label areas, including the lips.
Like the other products in the Juvederm collection, Vollure is a hyaluronic acid filler that can be safely dissolved with an injection of hyaluronidase. How many injections are required to fully dissolve the Vollure will depend on the treatment you originally received.
Do not use this product if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), or if you are allergic to lidocaine or the Gram-positive bacterial proteins used in Juvederm Vollure XC.
